Privacy Policy

Effective November 1, 2026

SchoolJar LLC (“SchoolJar,” “we,” “us”) makes the SchoolJar app and website. SchoolJar rounds up a parent’s everyday purchases and sends the spare change to the school the parent chooses. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Who SchoolJar is for

SchoolJar accounts are for parents and guardians who are adults. The app is not meant for children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Information we collect

We do not collect your child’s name, birthdate, grade, photos or school records.

How we use your information

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only:

Plaid’s handling of your data is described in the Plaid End User Privacy Policy.

Your choices

How long we keep information

We keep your information while your account is open and as long as needed to provide receipts, meet legal and tax record requirements, and resolve disputes. After that, we delete it or remove details that identify you.

Security

We use encryption in transit, access controls and trusted providers to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, so please contact us right away if you believe your account has been compromised.

Changes to this policy

If we make changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and, for important changes, let you know in the app or by email.
